Describe WorkRobe in a few words?

WorkRobes are designed to have you looking your best during any video meeting, so you can go from bedroom to boardroom in seconds and in comfort. My mission is to reimagine what you wear to work (from home).

Can you pinpoint the moment you knew you wanted to create WorkRobe?

Yes. I had just moved to Miami in June of 2020. I have a terrace in my apartment which is something I never had when I lived in NY. At this point, I had been working from home daily for 3+ months. Right when I moved into my new apartment, I started to take advantage of how nice it is to work from a balcony and enjoy a new place to work and view. One particular day, I decided to lay out and tan while responding to emails in between my meetings. In an effort to get tan, I put on a bathing suit. I enjoyed it so much I lost track of time and found myself 5 minutes late to a meeting. I quickly jumped up and searched for something to wear and stared at my red silk robe. That robe is usually the only thing I wear when I am lounging at home. I knew I could not show up in my robe to a professional meeting without being judged so I found a professional top, threw it on, and got on my zoom meeting.

During the meeting my mind was racing thinking about how I needed robes for my new work attire. After my meeting ended, the name “WorkRobe” hit me. I saw that the trademark was available and I applied for the trademark within hours of having the idea.

Let us in on the “secret sauce” to a successful product launch – what is the current marketing strategy for WorkRobe?

I have so much to say on this topic and will be hosting a session for all league members to discuss my tips!

Here are a few:

  • Understand your target audience and where they spend their time and what entertains them
  • Create content that will grab their attention and clearly illustrate what the product does. You will need content for your website, social media, advertisements, and emails, so try to capture as much content as possible for your launch.

Do you have a favorite WorkRobe style?

Of course, I love them all. I designed them for me!

For my most professional meetings, I love the Button Down Robe. Who doesn’t take someone seriously who is wearing a button down on a video meeting? This one means serious business.

I love the blouse robe and cowl neck robe for everyday meetings!

What are your 3 best Work From Home tips?

1 – Make a schedule and make sure you schedule in time for breaks. It is very easy to overwork when you are home unless you have reasons to get up from your desk.

2 – I enjoy mediating every morning. It centers me and sets me up for success throughout the day.

3 – Working from home has given me more time to do the things that I love. Make sure you have time each day to do what you love to do!

What is your favorite business tool or solution that helps you manage WorkRobe?

Shopify, Klaviyo, and Instagram!

Work/life balance at home can be difficult. What are some of your best tips to stay grounded while growing your own company?

Meditation is key. Every time I meditate good things happen.

Surround yourself with great people and make sure you have a team that shares your mission!

What’s next for WorkRobe? What can we expect to see over the next few months? What are your long term goals?

I am so excited for holiday. WorkRobe is the perfect gift for the work from home lady in your life. I am also excited to explore retail partnerships and new product lines!
