Masha Titova of TITOV inspired to bring women lingerie that feels special
Describe your business in a few words:
I’m Masha Titov, and I am the founder of lingerie brand TITOV. I started in the fashion industry 10 years ago, working at companies like Marc Jacobs, BCBGMaxazria, and YEEZY. I started TITOV 3 years ago, while also getting my MBA during the pandemic. Today, TITOV lingerie is a brand focused on celebrating everyday luxuries. We create undergarments fit for special occasions, but comfortable to wear every day: creating small batch & limited edition drops to never get dull. We are for those looking for something different.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
I worked at both mega brands and small 2 person team start-ups. These experiences have been crucial to being able to start my own company, by allowing me to hold positions in design, production, sales, web design, product development, sample room management, etc.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to grow an Empire.
Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?
Pop-Ups & wholesale! It was going great until Covid shut everything down and I had to pivot my sales strategy.
What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?
I am the most proud of having a feature in the Boston Globe. I had no idea how much that would change things for us!
Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?
I do not. At least not today. I work 100% of the time and just fit in time to work out and see friends in between. Until I get TITOV to the level at which I can grow the team, I need to hustle.
What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?
I just graduated from grad school and received my MBA! This has been something I’ve always wanted to do and I am beyond proud of this accomplishment.
What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
We are aggressively moving into wholesale and will be launching our first full collection in NYC next month. So, you should be able to see us in major retailers as well and our own brick-and-mortar pop-ups!
What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?
Community! I swear I’m addicted to meeting new people and I can’t wait to learn and connect with so many incredible founders!
