Veronica Herico, Founder of Pane di Vero, has her sights set on “More Growth!”
Describe your business in a few words:
Pane di Vero is a cottage bakery that offers made-to-order artisan breads and pastries for direct to consumer delivery. Simply made, crafted with organic whole grain flours, we provide nutritious and conveniently accessible breads, a healthy alternative to the highly processed bread products available at the grocery store.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
I use to work full time in the corporate world in public relations
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Yes, I never knew exactly how the desire would take form, but I always knew I wanted a business of my own.
Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out, and did it go as planned?
Social media and customer referrals – free, yet some of the most effective ways to spread the word. I am happy to report that it worked!
What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?
Being in business for almost two years now! It has flown by.
Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?
Absolutely. It’s essential. Setting boundaries is critical when owning your own business. Also important is investing in yourself and your mental health and purposely setting aside time to share quality moments with the people that make you happy. Everything cannot always be work, work, work – there has to be time for enjoyment and pleasure too. If you have balance, you’ll then be able to bring more focus and attention to your work when its time to get back to the grind.
What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?
My two year business anniversary is coming up in April! Also back in October the business was awarded a grant which was very exciting and needed!
What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
More growth!
What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?
The community and access to resources for learning and improving my business.
