Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

Greetings! I’m Ava. I am the proud Founder of Violets in Bloom, a healing and holistic energy boutique in Eastern PA.

I am passionate about spiritual energy and healing methods that connect people to their highest selves. I like to think that I work in a way that “bridges” the gap of what is considered “mystical healing” to the holistic practices that make sense for the one that wants the healing. I am grateful to have worked for over 20 years within the corporate and private wellness sectors.

I have worked extensively in corporate wellness as a health coach before deciding to work full time for myself in a private holistic practice.

What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?

I am excited about the quality business value being an Entreprenista League member offers!  As a member I am given many opportunities to network and learn from other members to improve upon skills. It’s also a place where we can uniquely understand business successes and struggles! I also like that I am able to introduce this community to my services and offerings several times a month in a variety of ways from spotlighted talks, service offerings and product launches.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I have been a lifelong entrepreneur, however my latest venture is completely based on the integration of all the different aspects of energy that humans embody, so providing a dedicated experience of shift for others is deeply heart connected for me.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I am grateful to have worked for over 20 years within the corporate and private wellness sectors as a board certified health and wellness coach for Fortune 500 insurance companies.

Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

My marketing strategy was if you build it, they will come…but not so much. I opened a week before understanding that COVID 19 would have a serious social impact for us all. I had to shift and shift quickly. Ultimately, my brick and mortar diversified itself into an online market and now we offer two platforms of business.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?

The biggest challenge was weathering the storm of being a new business during a pandemic. I learned that resiliency is a manner of gratitude and empowering oneself to embrace change and make shifts when needed. Maintaining a positive mindset really got me through it all as well as paying attention to the needs of our customers and industry trends.

What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?

I am most proud of being my most authentic self and delivering top notch customer service.

Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?

Absolutely, work life balance is practicing a bit of self care daily. Starting your day precisely the way you like it increases the ability to be more proactive than reactive to those things that may ultimately stress us. Something as simple as reading a few pages of a great book first thing in the morning or having a good mid day stretch or a healing cup of tea before bed are those little forms of self care that one can implement daily.

What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?

Be true to yourself always and give back to your business willingly.

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

I have created consistent communications across my social media, blogs and newsletters to build more of an energetic presence!

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

A lot! I plan to be here a long time. However, in the near future I plan on unleashing a curated line of energetic aromatherapy products based upon some of my favorite brands of candles, incense and featured crystals! It will be a harmonious box of energy enhancing goodies!
