Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

I am an award-winning real estate dropout turned Life and Manifestation Coach who teaches high achieving women how to create life balance without sacrificing their goals. I am a wife and mother to 3 children, lover of wine and “New Girl”, and host of the podcast Women Who Want More. I strive to coach through an entire mind, body, and soul experience and teach through 1:1 coaching, workshops, and speaking at events.

What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?

The connections! I was referred to this group because the women would be more likely to be around my age and entrepreneurial. Most groups I’m in are a bit older and more corporate-focused. I want to surround myself with like-minded women! “We are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with.”

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

The freedom! I’ve always wanted to do things my own way and to be different. I was often told that I’m “too much” and I never felt I fit into any role or company the way I hoped I would.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I went to school for Veterinary but couldn’t pay my student loan debt with that career. Left it for real estate because that’s where the money was…and I did really well, winning multiple awards in just my first year, but I was miserable. There was a lot of stress and anxiety with that job, especially as a mom of young kids.

Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

I was doing all the things other people were doing. If you told me I needed to do cold emailing, I’d do that. Search in Facebook groups, I’d do that. Anything that worked for other people, but after a while it burnt me out. None of it felt aligned. I finally recognized that I could grow my business by simply making new connections and relationships with people, which is something I actually ENJOYED doing. So now I don’t have to work as hard and grind myself into the ground to create leads. I form new friendships and help others.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?

Working myself into the ground. I am a high achieving woman who will do ALL THE THINGS if I’m told to. But when that wasn’t getting me anywhere, I was forced to slow down and reevaluate where I was. I learned that less is more and the energy and vibration I’m putting out there is more important than the actual task I’m doing. If my energy is low because I’m trying to find clients in ways that I don’t enjoy, I won’t get anywhere. If my energy is high because I’m doing things that I enjoy in order to grow my business, even if indirectly, I see success.

What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?

Being vulnerable and opening up to my husband about not wanting to stay in real estate. I was making good money and we had invested in my real estate business, so it was really hard to tell him I was unhappy. But my growth over the years since has been amazing. I’m an entirely new and happier person.

Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?

Yes, but in a give and take kind of way! There is no perfect balance. There are seasons of life when one may take priority over another, and I believe that’s the only way to succeed in either. I don’t think you can maintain a perfectly equal balance and grow both, but recognizing when you’re overworking yourself or putting forth TOO much effort into one or the other is key.

What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?

If your mindset isn’t right, your business won’t be, either. You will crash and burn at some point. If you’re not living in alignment with an abundance mindset, you won’t find it. Be grateful for where you are and what you have…only then will you achieve your dreams.

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

Being hired immediately for three workshops once I opened up my expertise in Human Design to the public. It’s been a part of my coaching curriculum for some time, but I made the decision to put it out there as an offer for companies and workshops and I had 3 booked right off the bat!

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

I have so many plans and ideas! I want to create another online course, then a membership community and hopefully a retreat of some sort.
