What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?

Women in business all coming together to share, network and support each other is MY FAVORITE!

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I wanted to leverage the skills from my years of blogging, content creation, and social media into digital advertising and then I bumped into my business partner at a conference that’s what she did and she wanted a partner to grow. Magical meeting. We just jumped in.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I started blogging after my first child was born. I was at home with her and wanted a creative outlet. I figured out everything from blogging, coding, digital photography, editing, and all the social media platforms from their infancy. Before that, I graduated with an art degree! haha!

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

I’ve always loved creating and doing my own thing. Having the freedom to do the work I want (I get to work in an area I’m passionate about), in the way I want (processes, organization, and systems are just so fun!), when I want (I’m a mother of three children and life is unpredictable) and with the people I want (building a team with awesome people) is a dream scenario. This freedom comes with being an entrepreneur.

Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out, and did it go as planned?

At first, it was word of mouth, and work trickled in. To grow, we had to get more purposeful and systematic with it.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?

The biggest challenge of entrepreneurship is managing all the feelings. With entrepreneur freedoms come high responsibility, high stress, and endless problem-solving. My business partner and I work daily to manage our feelings about being leaders (and the feelings from our personal life) so we can get shit done and not be distracted.

What is the accomplishment you are the proudest of to date?

So many things but big picture, we love what we are building – both the internal team and the client part, working with rad businesses – and we have big plans for the future.

Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?

Just the other day I came across an alternate word to balance. Harmony.

What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?

Learn how to handle and manage your feelings. You don’t want to be the way of your growth and success. Take care of yourself so you can continue to thrive and grow.

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

Growth! We are growing our team and private client list! We are working on packages and resources for businesses who want to get prepped for that next scaling step.
