Nicole Strychaz host of ‘The Awakened Professional” on Leaving Corporate America and Pursuing Entrepreneurship

Feature-Graphics-4

Hello Nicole! Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

I am an intuitive copywriter, content writer and host of The Awakened Professional podcast. Over a decade ago, I left corporate America to write and embarked on a journey of awakening that I never expected!

So Nicole, what excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?

I wanted to find a place to connect to female entrepreneurs that felt genuine. I’m looking forward to being part of network of driven women that are also fun to be around.

How did your experience in corporates America influence you to take the leap to start your own business?

I found working in a corporate environment to be stifling and hard on my energy. I was rising up the ranks, had my MBA, but my soul felt something was missing. Every day I went in with great energy, and by lunch I felt drained and was craving greasy Mexican food and a Diet Coke to cope! Even though entrepreneurship has been more work than I could’ve imagined, I LOVE working from home, being able to make home-cooked meals and exercise during the day. Plus, I had felt I was missing my life purpose, and now I get to feel soul aligned instead!

What were you up to in the corporate world prior to launching The Awakened Professional and copywriting?

I was a Director of Human Resources and had been in that field for about 10 years.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

No.

So Nicole, how did you get the buzz out about your new biz when you initially launched?

When I first started my business, it was a Mommy Blog. No strategy! I just knew I loved to write and thought if I put all my effort in people would find it. But they didn’t, lol. So I started to take courses to learn more about blogging and SEO, etc. At the same time I was going through a Spiritual Awakening. Hearing things and even seeing ghosts! I sought out Spiritual mentors and that’s when I learned that Spiritual Entrepreneurs need other methods to succeed that combine both mindset, energy healing AND traditional marketing. It just works differently for us.

Entreprenistas overcome daily challenges. What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?

My biggest challenge was feeling I had a soul calling, was showing up for it 100%, but my business wasn’t profitable or growing. It was an expensive hobby instead! I learned that it was actually a business and needed to be treated as such. Prior to that, I felt like because I was so passionate the rest would fall into place. And it may have if I could’ve gotten out of my own way…

What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?

I’ve been able to build my business while being home with my now 15 and 13 year old sons. My mom passed away when my oldest was 19 months, and I decided then and there I wanted to be present for every moment possible. I’ve been to all the school recitals, sporting events, and the illnesses while simultaneously pursuing my passion. I feel this is just the beginning for me.

We all want to believe in work life balance. Do you actually believe in work/life balance?

I do believe in work life balance. My best tip is to put your self care ahead of everything else or you won’t be able to sustain your business or career goals.

What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?

I wish I had known to start small, and let it grow. If you only get 2 people for your first offer that’s awesome! Then double it the next time and again. I used to create an offer and if it didn’t sell I would spend months creating an entirely new one. A constant Content-Creation Hamster Wheel! Ugh. Now I use my intuition to tune into an offer, put it out there, and repeat.

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

I’ve recently launched “The Awakened Professional” podcast to help other people who are awakening, wanting to connect to their soul purpose, part of “the great resignation” and “quiet quitting” movement learn to manifest their dream lives. I believe it’s co-creation with the universe and ANYTHING is possible.

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

I am about to launch a free “Email Marketing Made Easy for Spiritual Entrepreneurs” Masterclass that has the option to purchase a DIY course with templates to set up your email automation and/or work with me in a VIP program to Soul Align and Shine. It includes Human Design, the Gene Keys, learning to trust your intuition for your business and the ENERGY of your copy so you are magnetic instead of confusing. I am also putting more time into promoting The Awakened Professional podcast to reach more people.
